What personal data do I collect and why do I collect it?
The website is primary a blog and I am not selling any products at this moment. On the other hand I am using affiliate links and promote products from merchants like Darn Good Yarn, Layla sleep, Kidswatch to mention a few. Links are highlighted in the text.
I only need your name and e-mail address when you are contacting me. That is because I would like to know who I am talking to. I want to protect you from bullying and rude behaviour. Respect for other people is important to me. If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit my login page, I will set a temporary cookie to determine that your browser accepts cookies.
For your safety I will set up several cookies when you log in, I do that to save your login information, and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.The Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you contact me or comment my post I would not use the information for marketing purposes, promotions or affiliate links.
Analytics and your safety
For your safety, Jetpack collect only anonymous analytics data and provide analytics services like the amount of visitor, amount of comments.
How long do I retain your data?
I will keep the contact form for six months, analytics records for a year. When and if I start to sell products I will keep a customer purchase for ten years.
For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). As the blog website administrator, I can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data?
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you.
Where do I send your data?
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. I use several programs to protect your data. Your safety is taken care of AKismet anti-spam and Defender pro the security. My personal computer is in addition using e-secure, avast and two ways authentification. Data will be saved in a zipped file and transferred from an Google account. Every programs I use got a two step authentification for your safety, where the owner of the blog is the only administrator.

Breaches, bugs and viruses will be taken care of. For your safety my web side would be closed or paused, and your information will be deleted from the files. Askimet and Defender pro detects issue and will restore the safety.
